Got a new Montage M, but having these odd issues with the sustain pedal...on a few of the pianos, the sustain stops after around 3 seconds after I engage the sustain pedal....if I press the note (with no pedal applied) and hold it, it lasts for around 12 seconds.
Other pianos seem to be ok...I suspect it has something to do with the "half-pedaling" that the sustain pedal is (Yamaha FC3 - older model with the larger casing) - because if I turn off half pedaling in system, the sustain on those pianos reverts to a normal sustain pedal hold.
Trouble is this is a system wide setting, not on a per performance...so how do experienced users get around this?
I note it also does this on a lot of the electric pianos as well....which as they do not have half damper options is understandable, however again, I cannot be forever switching in and out of settings to change this depending on what performance I am using at a gig.
