thanks for trying to help but your suggestions may not work.

Press the INPUT button and then ENTER, now you have a USB audio volume knob. It's pretty quick.

NO - there you control A/D input only NOT USB Volume. USB is a global setting in menu area available only.

Also, within any Live Set, you can assign the mod wheel or a pedal to control USB audio volume (manual p.31).

inconveniently - pedal I use to control Volume of CK61 already, mod wheel I need to control IOS apps.

I really need a CK61 firmware update in settings area - hopefully Yamaha will observe forum.
Something like that:
USB SW = ON
USB MIDI = ON
USB AUDIO = OFF

Does no one else really have to deal with this problem?
