I have a KX76 keyboard -- my understanding is it's essentially the same as the larger KX88, minus weighted keybed and an octave.
The mod wheel seems to send midi messages correctly. The pitch wheel does not.
I am hooked up to either a Korg Opsix or Minilogue XD. When I wiggle the mod wheel, it does the same as the mod wheel (joystick Y-axis on the Minilogue) on either of those modules. When I use the pitch bend wheel, neither module reacts.
If I assign the pitch wheel to send the same CC message as the mod wheel (by entering CA mode on the KX) to my device, '11', the modules still do not react.
I notice the mod wheel has a three-pole potentiometer and that voltages register on either side depending on its position. The pitch wheel has a four pole and I'm not sure what I should be looking for (just as a starting point to verify that the problem is or isn't the pot itself).
What can I do to diagnose this?
