Hello. Iam from Portugal, and iam new here. I bought a modx 8+, its my first yamaha keyboard. I used Roland for many years.
I love eps, specially fm pianos, dx, dyno, etc. I noticed that in the electric pianos FM, there are a "white noise" like shhhh (sorry for my explication), a little dirty when i press the key and it stops when the sample sound itself stops. This thing its most noticiable in lower velocity dynamic play, and whe i use compressor to give some punch on sound. I always play with earphones.
This is normal? The noise is there to emulate the real dx fm sound in the past, with that noise of analogic components? Or i have some problem with my modx? This thing i only notice in Fm piano sounds. For example, if i use dx7 vst present in arturia analog lab, i ear the same sound, in fact, that withe noise is always present. But iam not used to it, my roland eps dindn't have that.
Its the fact of the shyntesis fm in modx that makes that? Once again, its much mote noticiable if we use headphones and aply the compressor effect and up the volume. For example, if we use the first preset, cfx+ep fm, and turn the magic knob all to the right side, and the ep fm comes up, this is much noticiable, specially with low velocity playing.
