Yamaha Montage and Montage M Forum • Re: Touchscreen upside down - how to solve?

Off topic sort of but It's so narrow minded to think that every Montage customer who exists or into the future will:

A) not use the Montage in a studio environment and...

B) if they do they will always only want to look at the on-board touch screen and nothing else

C) but we'll half-ass add a remote feature that we won't subscribe to and/or admit exists and if they do use it they can't read the text unless they use a computer

D) Montage was in development while we had the Motif XF, last releases were around 2013, then Montage in 2016 so when you add up all that time it's been over 10 years and they still can't figure out how to remote-out the display for studio applications. By the way it's the year 2024. Why add it to Genos 2 but not a Music synthesizer were just as much if not more lab work is being performed?

E) if your screen failed for some reason you'd still be able to use your equipment having the HDMI out or some native screen out functionality. IF that was the failsafe reason why not have added it to the M or at least proper font options?

F) Yamaha assumes only old blind people use the Genos and only young snappers use the Montage which is probably about 50/50 and not 100/0. But anyway M has all the power you need to handle proper fonts so where are they? They did add enlarged text but that doesn't work on all the deep dive screens and sub-displays. Apparently the chosen font and max resolution is hard programmed into the page for the screen and can't be exchanged. Probably a 5th grade programmer can figure it out overnight.
