Hey gang, new member here but I do frequent other acoustic forums. Figured I’d pop in here and share my latest acquisition, a 2001 LL-500 in essentially brand-new condition. I was not aware of this model prior to stumbling across the ad, but some brief research told me that I needed to jump on it asap. It even has the original factory quality check card! It did have an I-beam pickup installed, which I removed as I prefer the “acoustic purist” approach on this one.
So far the tone is incredible, as anybody who has played one will know. The neck is taking some time to get used to, to me it feels thinner than my FGC-TA (which I love), with a soft V profile. Is this a common profile with most older LL models? Also, if you recognize this guitar or were the previous owner, I’d love to hear some stories about it! Cheers
