Yamaha PSR-SX Forum • SX900 problem loading styles from internet

Occasionally I load and audition free and found styles from the internet off of a USB stick. For some reason lately, the majority of them give me the “Data has not been loaded properly” message and they fail to load in. These should be loading in. Surely not all of them are old or corrupt. I did not have this failure rate when I first owned the keyboard. Note the below points. Does anyone know what is wrong here?

-both the USB stick and the SX900 seem to be working OK

-firmware should be up to date, but I'll check again

-I tried a different USB stick and still same problem

-I tried the other SX900 USB port and still same problem

-I tried re-formatting the USB stick on the SX900 but still same problem

-I notice some styles residing in folders will load if they are on pages at the end. For example, if there are 6 pages in a folder, many of the styles on pages 4 to 6 will load but the styles on pages 1 to 3 will not.

-most of the styles files end in .sty and don’t have any unusual names

-did a test with more recent Genos styles from psrtutorial and have the same problem
