Thanks for the reply. I have fixed it already, by an accident. I could be wrong, but I think I know how I fixed it.
Symptoms - The booting sequence stopped in the bios showing the entry screen of MOTIF XF. I have read the service manual and got into the TEST mode, however it also never got through the bios first screen showing TEST MODE. I could not run any tests, because I was not able to to load the Linux OS. I thought I'm done and the last chance is to find someone to reset the FlashROM completely somehow.
Fix - I found older versions of the firmware 1.30, 1.40 and I started to load one by one to see if some of those would actually reflash the entire ROM and help to fix the corrupted block. It did not, but when I reloaded the different firmwares many times, and finally with the 1.50 version it got fixed. I believe that each of FW reloads actually rewritten different places of the ROM and when it got to the corrupted block, it fixed it. After this I could also get to the service menu and run tests.
I'm aware of a similar issue with Motif ES, but thew difference is that one of the older FW versions flashed the entire memory and so fixed a corrupted ROM there. but that's not the case for Motif XF.
Hope this could help others with a similar issue.
