I am using an external controller (Graviton M1 by Luminite https://luminitefx.com/products/copy-of ... controller) to issue patch change events to both my Montage M and Korg Kronos. The idea is to minimize dead air between songs on stage by setting up both keyboards with a single button press.
This works great with the Kronos, but I'm having difficulty with the Montage. The patch change events are recognized, but it's selecting patches from bank 0 of the factory presets. I want to select patches from the Live Set.
According to the MIDI implementation chart, bank/pc select for the Live Set requires a different MIDI command string (3Exxyy, where xx is the page and yy is the patch number). Unfortunately, the M1 controller doesn't support arbitrary MIDI commands, so any solution I come up with is likely going to have to be resolved within the synth.
Is there any way to tell the Montage to restrict patch change events to the Live Set?
Has anyone had success triggering patch changes from any external device (other than a computer), and if so, what device?
