I am happy with either pipesNow, after hearing those other choices, I had a feeling that you would be a Nightwish fan.
I do enjoy some of their songs, particualrly some of the softer ones on "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" which I did listen to a little when that came out, but symphonic metal is not a natural listening choice for me. Likewise, I probably listen to a lot that others will pass on by. What is great is both diversity of taste and choice.
Musical connections always fascinate however, so I will draw out that Troy Donockley of Nightwish is somebody I do hold in high regard, as he is often the "go to" session musician if you want Uilleann pipes on your tracks, and that is an instrument I find hauntingly beautiful (much better than scratchy old bag pipes!).

I had no idea Troy teamed up with Adrian Edmondson that was a surprise.
Endless for was the last Nightwish album I bought, The Eyes of Sharbat Gula
was one which stood out for me. They have a new album out, 'yesterwynde.'
I haven't checked that out yet fully yet.
