Hi,
If you don't use the Sampling and Song/Pattern/Arp functions, the "All" file will easily fit onto a single blank floppy disk. The sample and sequence memory is volatile (i.e. wiped clean when the unit is turned off), so you would have saved this data elsewhere anyway. If sample or sequence data is currently present in the EX5R's memory, however, an "All" file can become too large, especially if the sample RAM has been expanded beyond the standard 1 MB. In this case, save your voice data as a "Syn" file instead (saves Internal and Performance banks, as well as system settings, but excludes sample and sequence contents).
If the floppy drive doesn't work, you can still dump your voice data via MIDI to a DAW/sequencer or something like the ex.factory librarian on a computer.

Yes, although I would recommend testing your EX5R's floppy drive first (these things tend to fail over time, even if sitting unused). You can safely try formatting a disk in it using the Device Format command from the Disk menu; If it results in a "bad disk" error, you may actually have a bad floppy drive. If it still works, on the other hand, it provides the easiest way to save and reload your data.Am I supposed to save that file on the floppy?
