You know how Youtube is: you watch some content that you're interested on (in my case, I was watching one of Rick Beato's videos) and down below we get some videos suggested by Youtube.
I always clean all cookies when closing the browser and so I usually get suggestions that are related to what I'm currently watching.. but sometimes unrelated titles appear. This time there was also a video with title:
1st Month In Slovenia: The Things They Don’t Tell You -btw. Slovenia is my country.
And so I wondered: what is there to tell?

At some point the author of the video (an American) mentioned, how he was surprised by the fact, that we (slovenian) are very "direct" and then he repeats that few times more.. which made me thinking. And then I realized that he's right: in my country, we mostly express our opinions very directly (not wrapped in a nice package).
It's quite opposite in US, for example, where opinions are usually expressed more carefully (at least from what I can see in movies and documentaries). That is, by telling the opinion, it's like they try not to hurt other person's feelings.. and so opinion is sometimes only partially expressed.

Why I'm telling all that? Because I noticed that it happens, that my opinion (or answer) in forum is seen as rude or unfriendly -which is definitely never my intention. And when I notice that, I think to myself that particular person is simply over-sensitive. But if I think again (after watching above video), that's maybe not the case... that person is maybe simply used to more nicely packaged opinions.

Now I wonder... How can I say in a friendly way "your playing sucks"? Let me try:
"You performance is excellent and I really enjoyed.. just a suggestion.. maybe you should try to use more than one finger and try to keep tempo more consistent.. but it's great as it is... Maybe your playing would be even better if you would play in certain key and use chords at that... not that this would change anything, it would just sound richer..."
:D
