I see that customers are holding back when buying - so inflation and uncertainty are still high .

Prices are changing, at least in Germany:
Musicstore has SX920 as B-stock for €2149, there are (reputable) shops that offer the SX920 for €2212.

This comparison of the enormous differences between the 7 and 9 models may be interesting - Price is in DE and €:
