Hi, I have a Clavinova 840 and have connected it by a midi cable that has a usb out that goes to mac airbook running Sequoia operating system 15.1. The midi out from the Clavinova works fine and I can play the instrument and hear it on my computer through Musescore4 and even enter music notes and control their durations. What I haven't been able to do is by Midi In to get my Clavinova to play Midi music. I had downloaded the um150mx driver and placed it on my computer. In trying to get In Midi to work I also played with the Apple AIC driver (and USB2.0-MIDI turned on) which did not upset my Midi Out though the sounds got distorted, but did not solve my Midi In problem. Another way of stating a related problem is that I want to be able to play a .mid file on the Clavinova. I have tried various F switch settings on the Clavinova and tried all 16 voices to see if somehow it was being sent a voice it did not recognize to no avail. I am now thinking it is my cable TNP MIDI Cable Set to USB with Type C Adapter 2 in 1 MIDI Piano USB Cord from PC to Keyboard, Synthesizer, Electronic Drum, Electric Blow Pipe, 16 Channels for Windows, Mac, and Android. One of the one star reviews said that the output function apparently doesn't work.
