I think it would make more sense to compare the Yamaha YC73 against the Nord Electro 6D 73 or HP, or compare the YC73 with SEQTRAK against the Electro with SEQTRAK, or compare the Electro with SEQTRAK against the Nord Stage without SEQTRAK.
Second, prices differ from region to region. In the US, the Electro 6D 73 costs about 15% more than the YC73 whereas in Europe, the Electro 6D 73 costs about 10% less than the YC73.
Third, about absolute prices: In the US, a Yamaha DX7 costed about 30% more in 1983 (adjusted for inflation) than a Nord Stage 4 compact today. People can afford a Nord Stage 4 in 2024 similarly to how people were able to afford a DX7 in 1983.
Fourth, difference in depreciation can be significant. At least here in my area, it is easier to sell a Nord Electro 6D for a good price than a Yamaha YC73, which can mean that the more expensive keyboard actually costs less over time.
