First, I have to apologize for not being around for a month and answering your question. I have had some crazy life things happen and been distracted. Also, I realize due to the length of time any reply probably isn’t very useful. Anyway here’s my reply….Could you explain this assertion. What is so much available? Sound programmation already done, like in this easysounds pack or what it could be done with all the possibilities offered by montage engines?..There is so much available it is sort of odd that there’s really any question.
I would say “all the above”. The programming already done and what can be done with the M engines. I would have to add the increased processing power allowing multiple functions (arps, original sample wav, etc.) that are very fleshed out and showing how this one keyboard can do the work of multiple separate keyboards. I’ll admit it takes some controller acrobatics to take it to the limit.
Some of the exciting impressions could be due to not having a standalone synth like this for quite some time. But I’m not that out of touch to be able to recognize its worth. Like most things, personal preference and how someone chooses to express themselves will determine it’s ultimate value.
