Maybe it would be easier to answer, if you would tell what keyboard you had before Genos2.. that way we could compare this specific behavior. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that there's nothing wrong with your keyboard.
I don't know if that's what you experience, but let me say, that Yamaha arrangers don't have so called "seamless sound transition" capability. That is, unless planned very carefully, when we switch a voice to another voice, previous voice will stop sounding abruptly and new sound (voice) will start playing. Because two voices usually also have different voice settings/effects, this voice switching can sound very unpleasant.
Btw. what I just described doesn't only happen when we switch between preset/user voices... it can also happen when we switch between two preset, or two user voices. In most cases, we can avoid this to happen , but as said, certain planning is needed for that.
If you experience something different (than I was talking about here), then try to explain more in detail.
