Hmmm... i have demoed an older Yamaha as a limited looper pedal (using dsps, delay, maximum feedback loops infinitely) but then everything you add will keep playing, you'd have to switch to a different voice layer to 'solo' on top. But yes, what I did was take a tempo delay, and crank the feedback up, and change voices (to throw different voices into the loop) and just play around, and then when I'm done building the loop, switch to Right 2 to solo on top (having only assigned the delay to Right 1)
You *could* also use Style creator as a looper, but of course you'd interrupt the beat while switching to different tracks.
