Due to the size of the screen and the way it hangs it isn't quite flat, so you can see a few vertical"ripples". Hopefully I can get that better as I get more used to setting it up - this was a very quick and dirty test last night. But it is more flat than what the venue usually projects onto. It is also a compromise, as we wanted a large an area as possible, but the venue has a really low ceiling and a lot of the larger screens (which are like "goal posts") are too tall. There was a roll down projector I found, which is probably more flat, but didn't have fantastic reviews in terms of build quality/longevity and when packed up it was 2.4 metres in length (which would be a problem getting it down a very tight staircase into the venue, which goes very tighly round on itself! This one packs down to 1.3M.This is a demonstration of the video show that I have put together for my next Spectral Streams Ambient/Progressive/Chillout gig at the Cellar Bar, Cardigan, Wales, on 16th of March 2024.
I am using the Imaginando Visual Synthesizer to create visuals that respond to how I play (which you can't really see from watching a recording of a recording!)
Each song in the set has a different set of visuals, so this is but one example.
This video is a test setup in my home's hallway of the Laptop/HD Projector and screen I will be using. It's a good job that I have a large hallway!
There will also be a light show to accompany this, which I am busy finishing off in time for the gig!
So I will see how I will got with it. I may revisit it if the gig is really successful and warrants finding a better one for future gigs
