I have been studying the features of both the 720 and the 920, along with (of all instruments) the Casio Wk 7600. For months now, I have said that I plan to get a 920. However, in looking at the posts of most musicians on this forum, it appears that most of you are quite happy with your 720. It looks to me like that the 920 has just a few extra features that I don't need.
One concern I might have, though, is the use of DSP. I have had numerous problems figuring out how to use it on my A3000, and there are only 3 memory locations (not sure what they are called) where DSP settings can be saved, and I still can't figure it all out.
I don't think I need the extra voices, although the super articulation 2 voices on the 920 might be a selling point. But are they worth all the extra money? I have thousands and thousands of voices and styles I have downloaded, so that is not an issue for me. As for memory, I use a flash drive with lots of memory, so I don't see the need for a lot of internal memory.
I am curious to know why many of you chose the 720 over the 920. Is it for some of the same reasons I have mentioned here? The 920 price is a bit steep for me!
Which brings me to the Casio WK-7600. Can anyone compare it to what Yamaha has in its psr sx series? I realize it is an old keyboard, but I have seen rave reviews of it from some users, but others don't like it at all. Has anyone used both the 720 AND the WK 7600 to give me some comparsion/contrast?
