I suspect that the 4 Plus packs make up about 230MB of memory and with the 768 expansion memory that's about 1GB of memory. Now that I have 6 expansion packs installed, plus 5 "dummy packs" and counting the 4 PLUS packs... that's 15 packs.
The dummy packs are to select (from the keyboard) the AN-PLG150 plug-in board, 2 Preset Voice banks and to select the 3 Motif Rack XS User Voice banks to play as R1 Voices.
Actually I have a very elaborate MIDI studio setup.
Now... I also have created 10 MIDI User configurations on the S975, and I have a vintage JL Cooper MSB+ programmable MIDI patch-bay and also a vintage Peavey PC1600x MIDI hardware controller. All these setups allow me to play any of the 6000 Motif Arps with any R1 Voice on the keyboard, and also play the several hundred User Arps from the Proteus 2000 with any R1 (and optional R1 + R2) Voice(s).
This setup also allows me to play the external Arps on R1 and play the PSR Arps on R2 at the same time.
BTW... I created setups on the Peavey controller the vary the Arp Gate time (with a pedal real-time), vary the Arp Velocity and Unit Multiply (either half speed or double the speed) and buttons the will change the Arps on the fly for both the Motif and Proteus .
Like I said... I'm a very happy camper.
