Did you find it? I moved the ribbon out of the way you can still see the original glue track. When the lid closes the metal feet come down and a screw goes into the holes. The red box is about the size of that metal foot. It had clipped off or smashed the side of the red wire. That's what caused the other guys headphones to lose a channel.
If you own a glorious PA5x and you want to check this out on yours as it could eventually slice through if you are moving it around a lot I can tell you which screws to remove, It's not too bad and the lid just flips up. See the photo removing the smaller side edge screws, rear, corner & bottom screws also (2) on the wooden panels. The back rear only has (2) in corner and about 4 in a row. On the wheel corner remove (4) in a square pattern.
I also wanted to check whether I could replace my defective LED lenses but I'd have to remove all the circuit boards so as long as they work it's just a mild annoyance. I have a question into my dealer over this, let's see what Korg says about the LED button lenses I showed earlier in this post. It's like the lens coating is defective on the underside or is it wearing off from my finger presses on the top side? Like a chemical reaction?
