I was super excited when I found Oxygène Part IV from Jean Michel Jarre in the Yamaha Bonus Playlist for the PSR-SX720. It use the style "6-8 Classic Synth".
Do you know any other styles from the SX720 that would be suitable for other Jean Michel Jarre music? Or other electronic artists like Depeche Mode? I know I could try them all. But did you already found some style you like to use for electronic music? Anything you recommend or maybe some style you downloaded?
I bought some style on styles4k.com, but it gets expensive quickly. Also I don't like that some variation (Intros and A, B, C, D) are very long, like 8, 10 or even 16 bars! At this point, just do a midi backtrack. It defeats the purpose of a style that is supposed to be a short loop to let you play freely and not be forced to follow a strict song structure. I'm always stressing to hit the right button to switch to the right intro or variation. If I miss a beat, I'm 1 or 2 bar behind and it doesn't sound right.
