This is almost embarrassing to ask, but I need help with connecting my MX to aa new laptop. I have had to invest in a new laptop which can keep up with my VST demands, but can't get them to talk to eachother. I would have thought having had the Mx for 3 or 4 years now I would be ok, but it is just as if I have only just bought it!
I have downloaded the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver, and the Remote tools (which I don't think I need), but the usb driver has no site of the Mx61. I have gone into Device Manager (which Windows 11 has seen fit to hide somewhere else!), and both the Steiberg usb driver and the MX61 show up in the "Sound, Video and Game controllers" tab, but that is as far as I get. I have downloaded nearly all of my Kontakt libraries, but can't play them until the laptop realises that there is an MX61 keyboard on the other end of the USB cable!
What am I missing, or not doing? Any suggestions?
