I took a look at the preset performances on the Montage, MODX and MODX+ (according to their data lists). The following table summarizes how the performances are grouped by origin based on the Montage version 3.50.
In the initial version, there were less than 600 performances in the first group, and the number incrementally increased and reached 790 with version 2.00. Version 2.50 added the 512 performances from the Motif XF. Versions 3.00 and 3.50 added another 84 performances, however, this time at the end of the list.
The presets on the latest MODX and MODX+ versions are identical, except that the 512 Motif XF performances are missing. However, they can be downloaded from Yamaha website and installed as a library.
