Electric-Acoustic Amps: Yamaha THR5a vs THR10II
Hi everyone, I recently got my first acoustic-electric after years of playing my standard acoustic and electric. I’ve become interested in the cool high tech amps that are out there and found myself oogling the Yamaha THR models. Looks like the THR5A is specifically meant for acoustics, however the higher models THR10II, etc allows for acoustic AND straight electric guitars. Can someone who is familiar with these models help me determine which is the best fit?
Ideally I’d love if the THR10II could provide a solid acoustic option while also being able to use it for heavier rock/metal on my electric. And if this model comes with the wireless guitar jacks that would be killer. Am I better off getting the 5A for acoustic and a different amp for metal? Or could one of these models provide both?
Am I in line with what I’m looking for or could another brand/model work better for me? Also, I’m mostly just using these to jam in my room for fun, but also get together with friends now and then
Any help or suggestions are appreciated!
