Have a large grain of salt handy since I don't have direct experience with those devices.
But the manual for each device appears to show you can do it.

Motif XF - see page 416 - that page shows how to set the TRANSMIT switch to send PC messages and also shows how to specify the MSB, LSB and PC message itself that you want sent. Page 415 shows you how to set the CHANNEL to use.
DTX-MULTI 12 (is that your device? You just said DTX12)
https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/o ... _om_b0.pdf
See page 77 where it says this
It seems to say earlier on that page that you can set the channel but you will have to test all of that.
Sorry if that doesn't help you - someone with actual experience may be of more help.

Not having experience with that device I can't tell if you MUST use channel 10 or whether they are just using channel 10 in the example because that is the typical drum channel.To select a DTX-MULTI 12 drum kit, set parameters for
MIDI channel 10 as follows.
• Preset kits:
MSB = 125, LSB = 000, PC = Preset kit number
• User kits between U001 and U100:
MSB = 125, LSB = 001, PC = 001 to 100
• User kits between U101 and U200:
MSB = 125, LSB = 002, PC = 001 to 100
If a program-change setting is made for MIDI channel 10, the
current drum kit will be changed immediately.
