From memory they were nothing extreme to write home about but good enough...if it's this form factor you were looking for then the QS is the way to go, but have you thought about the Yamaha CS1X? I don't know if they were sold in the US but apparently share some architecture with the QS300...very light but you will need a flight case as the plastic piece of the case is prone to breakage if dropped...
