I will try again.
Here is what I know:
I know exactly what happens if you were to tap “Quick Setup” = “Standalone” — the settings this makes are the same on all MODX synthesizers. These are the settings for when using the synth alone without a computer or external host. The other three, numbered 1, 2 and 3 are user programmable. But come pre-programmed for the thre most common scenarios
1 — recording MIDI to a DAW
2 — recording MODX MIDI Arpeggio Phrases to a DAW
3 — recording AUDIO from the MODX via USB
Here is what I don’t know (exactly):
I have very little idea what happens when you tap “Quick Setup” = “SPECTACLE” — Only your MODX has these settings — you must have made settings, named and stored them to Quick Setup location “1” which you renamed “SPECTACLE”. Because there are potentially many settings that can be stored in this location I cannot know them all from one screenshot. I can see that Local Control = On but not any changes you have made elsewhere I cannot see. You wrote “SPECTACLE” (I don’t see anything named “show”, sorry).
If you tap “SPECTACLE” and then verify that Super Knob CC = 95 and Scene CC = 92, that’s good enough to know for sure that when your MODX receives CC# 95 for Super Knob and it will receive Scene CC 92 messages to change Scenes (Again, I must ask: are these Performance Scenes or Pattern Scenes?). The *selected channel* for Super Knob CC and Scene CC defaults to Channel 1 when you are in “MIDI I/O Mode” = Multi; the only time it would be a channel other than CH 1, is if you set the “MIDI I/O Mode” to “Single” or “Hybrid” and you selected a Channel for communication other than CH 1.
I, again, do not know Cantabile so none of that makes much sense to me.
When you say the word “song” what do you mean… a Song in the MODX or is that what your software calls a selection?
