I have not studied these in any detail.
However I believe these documents are mostly copy/pasted and edited from the original Montage versions.
Are the same mistakes in there? Or are any of these values applicable to the Montage but not the MODX/MODX+ ?
As to the quality of the documentation this seems to becoming a lost art now.
Just look at how poor the operation manual for the Montage M is compared to the classic Montage. The PDF version is just made from the HTML one without even working links for the contents. Formatting reminds an amateurish word document rather than a professional manual. I understand this is rendered from HTML, but still. The quick guide is still in the good old style.
I would guess companies believe less and less people refer to manuals and most just work by trial and error and experimenting or online videos and tutorials. They just don't want to invest in this anymore.
And don't even get me started on Roland manuals. The manual for my GAIA2 is a joke.
