You load an instrument with specially prepared samples (byDen instruments) and then you can resynthesize it even in itself in the simplest way (by moving the sliders on a synth like Motif/Montage). It could also happen that this method may be the closest sample-based procedure to a more realistic (analog) synthesis, but this shall be proved, who knows...
