Acoustic Guitar Forum • Need help verifying Serial Number

Hello, I really want to buy this used Yamaha FS-800 and hoping it's a pre 2018 model. I entered the serial number on The Guitar Dater Project and it says it's made on March 7th, 2016 in TAWAIN. the FS800's are made in China, not Taiwan so i'm skeptical this isn't accurate... can someone please help me verify the Year for this fs800? here's the serial:
