Is there anything new in the Montage M related to expanded articulation (in AWM2)?

Not that I am aware of.

What the video refers to is functionality that exists in the original Montage and Modx models.

See page 307/308 of the Operation Manual.

It is not really related to the way of "approaching the sound".

Seems to me he is describing the changes you can make by using the settings mentioned in the doc. Those settings
allow you to create 'groups' of elements and have each group behave differently when you play normal versus legato or use
the two assign switches.

My sense is that the author wasn't really aware of that functionality in the previous models. Nothing new that I know of.
