Yamaha W Series • Re: W5 floppy disk drive

Hello,
I have a W5 with a faulty disc drive, and was wondering if I can create a backing on the W5, and then save directly to wavepad on my laptop, rather than saving to disc (which I'm unable to do)?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Aside from the SPECIFIC problem described in the link -

others include replacing the belt, and cleaning the heads . . . . .
