I watched the Tech Talk dedicated to the ESP. I asked whether there is/would be a retail version of it for Montage classic owners, and one of the reps chimed in and said, "at this time, it is only available to Montage M owners." Someone else reiterated my question, and the same rep answered similarly, repeating the phrase, "at this time." It led me to believe that maybe sometime in the future, when M sales have leveled off, they may release the plugin (at a premium price?) and make a kind of second wind killing off of users still satisfied with their previous gen hardware but also interested in current gen improvements, without killing the sales of their new flagship. I mean, the product is still a "Montage" for a reason, right?
I won't lose sleep over it, but it would really appear to be potentially enormous sales opportunity missed if they don't offer it at some point. it may even be a couple of years away.
