Thanks for this thread. I bought an RSS20 about a year ago (new, had to order it online so was just banking on Yamaha historic quality) and one of the bridge saddles was broken almost immediately (1st string). Just slides back and forth freely. I've been just living with it since the string was basically holding the saddle in place keeping the intonation. Finally doing some research to replace it, was just seeing what others were doing. Found a Tonepros ABR-1 style on Stewmac that seems to be the same dimensions just going to grab that but then I saw the Schaller roller bridge that may look like a drop in replacement as well, or at worst a pretty simple mod . Not sure it really matters tbh never had a huge problem with tuning, thoughts? I feel like the nut is usually a worse culprit there. Been using Nut Sauce to fix.
As an aside and tangent on the RSS20 itself. Two other problems I noticed was the tone/vol knobs were not mounted properly, I had to fix those myself. They feel rather fragile, be better off if they were more sturdy. Also there's a slight amount of what looks like wear in the wood on the first fret toward the first few strings. That isn't hurting anything so I'm just meh about it. I definitely have to say the quality of the instrument isn't quite what I expected, but it plays great otherwise.
