Is there a way to turn of outgoing aftertouch data please?

Yes - see page 65 of the Montage reference manual.

There is an 'After Touch' switch on the Zone Transmit' screen when you edit a 'Part Common'. Just set it to OFF and
The channel aftertouch message won't be sent for that part.

For the Montage M models there the 'Mod / Control -> Tx / Rx Switch screen has parameters for both CAT and PAT for the part.
