I finally took the plunge and got myself a DX7IIFD in very good condition, except for having to remove about 30 years of neglect in terms of grime… it cleaned up well… most everything (buttons/controls) seems to be in working order…
- ROM Cartridge was missing but I got one off eBay.
- FD seems to work, but when I load a file nothing happens… but seems to format and save OK (although I can’t confirm since I can’t load a INT file I’ve saved, but the files names do appear in the DIR). I do not have a FD drive for the computer to verify what is actually in the files saved.
Looking around I see my DX is running OS 1.1, did you all find out what the benefits would be from upgrading to 1.9?
I want to see if is worth it to get one and re-open the DX, which I did in order to fit a new battery in it.
