Yamaha Montage and Montage M Forum • Category Search Attribute filtering has anomalies

There seems to be an issue with the attribute filtering on my M8X.

AT @22:20 in the Synth Show Ep 193 with Manny Fernandez the host played the audition for the AN1x Wave Arp Pad performance so I tried to find it on my M8X.

3. Attribute = AN-X
4. No such performance was listed
5. unchecked the attribute
6. sorted by Name
7. And there it was - the attributes listed were: AWM2, AN-X, MC , SSS
8. set Attribute = AWM2
9 No such performance was listed

Both the AWM2 and the AN-X attribute filters out the AN1x Wave Arp Pad even though that performance has both types of parts. Parts 1 and 2 are AN-X and part 3 is a drum part which is a special case of AWM2.

So I did another test using a search filter of 'AN1'

1. Bank = ALL
2. no attributes
3. Search filter = 'AN1
4. returns only ONE performance: AN1x Wave Arp Pad
5. selecting the AWM2 or AN-X attribute removes the performance and shows no performances

Which, of course, raises the question of what OTHER performances can't the search by attribute find.
I can't determine for sure if it is just performances that have BOTH part types: AWM2 and AN-X or if it is something else.
