Other Yamaha Keyboards/Modules & Equipment • Re: New Yamaha SEQTRAK

Here's what I can't determine either in Yamaha literature or YouTube examples.

Whether two class compliant Yamaha instruments can be connected together using that "to host" and USB-C cable and send MIDI + Audio back to the YC for example. There's a video demonstrating the YC playing an app on an IOS device but not something like the SeqTrak in the same way.

The document says they are compatible, the SeqTrak & YC but doesn't tell you which USB jack to use and thus which USB conversion cable to purchase.

More vague Yamaha directions because obviously I'd want to connect these using a single cable if it were possible.

The point is you'd have to connect to the headphones jack to send audio to the YC which is a hassle is they could communicate over a single cable. I'd have to purchase the cable to test it out. When I connected them together using the "To Device" the YC said it wasn't compatible so something is wrong because the yare compatible.

So in the second photo below the Akai would be the YC and the computer would be the Seqtrak. If that works that would be fantastic with MIDI and Audio coming back to the YC using a single cable. Is that possible?

What makes me think you can't do it is because there not a single demonstration of it or not in this exact way. The crappy part is having to run audio cables to a proper audio system using the silly headphone jack on the SeqTrak even if the MIDI can be run using the USB.
