Yamaha Montage and Montage M Forum • I have an innovative proposal for Yamaha. Montage M can be transformed into a sampler.

I'm not good at English. Please understand.

I don't think Yamaha is an innovative music company. I feel like they are very conservative. However, my thoughts are changing after looking at Yamaha, the maker of EPS. So, just in case, I'm making a delusional suggestion.

After using EPS, I thought about the utility of hardware MontageM.

Isn’t the total internal capacity of Montage M around 10GB?
I figured I'd like to use it all as sampler storage. Because it has EPS, I thought I wanted to take advantage of Montage M in a different way. To be honest, I'm not particularly interested in the AN-1's sound. This clean analog sound is not my style. I prefer sampled, dirty analog sound sources. If Yamaha can come up with an innovative idea, I hope they will hand over full control of the hardware montage to the users. Because it has EPS, there is no problem even if Montage M turns into a sampler. I think this will be an innovation for Yamaha synthesizers as well. But there's no possibility... right? ^^;

When someone reads something like this, they might think, “Why not use Kontack?” I am already using it. But I really like the sound coming from hardware synthesizers. The sample sound created with various functions and effects is different from Kontak's. My K2700 is also used as a sample player for me. Numerous past AKAI, EMU, KUZ, and ROLAND CDs are stored as sound sources.

If Yamaha can do this, I am thinking of purchasing one more Montage M.
