I'm not familiar with the RY-8, but let me ask: what (kind of) MIDI-Interface do you use? When it comes to SysEx many of those cheap Interfaces (we call them 'El Cheapos'![:wink:]( "Wink")
) have no or only a small amount of internal memory - this very often causes SysEx messages being not send properly - they get 'crippled' and therefor unusable. Many gear will show MIDI data errors, and in some cases the gear 'hangs up'...
Maybe you can send a picture of the interface you have..?
