The performance "Concert GrandPiano" actually exists twice. Once in bank PRE-15 slot 22 and once in bank GM slot 0. It only appears once in the data list document. The data list document does not list the 128 GM performances.When I am in Part - Category Search there are almost in every category (Preset bank) duplicates with the same name.
For example, in section Piano - Acoustic there are two "Concert GrandPiano" slots with no difference in sound.
I repeat, this is just in Part Category Search, not in Performance Category Search where there are all unique performances.
Does anyone know the point of these duplicates and maybe if there is any difference between them?
It is apparently not possible to select GM performances. However, it is possible to load the first part from a GM performance. I am not sure why the former is not possible. The latter is important so that the MODX can be used in a GM-compatible way.
I guess that all of the 128 GM performances exist identically in another bank.
Do you have an example of a non-GM performance that exist multiple times?
