Thanks for your reply Derek, and pointing me to that long post. I have read through all of it.

I own a Kronos as well and want to get rid of it because it's to heavy and I don't like the programming on that thing. Now i got a M6 and see the problem I am facing.. I would even be better off buying a Akai MPC keys 61 and stream from a TB SSD. For the time being I resample some sounds in mono to cut the sample size in half. Those Montage limitations should be something in the past.

Sample SSD streaming is not part of the Montage architecture - you need the Korg Kronos/Nautilus approach of using a PC type architecture for that.

I am afraid you are already going to run into issues with the Montage and the size of your samples as there appears to be a 2GB limit per library, so you may need to divide the samples up across at least two libraries (but assume you can split the samples logically), and you can then access any library sample once you have done that

There was a very extensive discussion on this, which to be honest I stopped following towards the end, but worth reading through, and if I read the conclusion correctly it points to what I talk about above, but I might have missed some nuance.
