i am a Korg Pa4x owner and i need an upgrade .
My first thought was moving to a Ketron Event but i am also thinking switching to a Genos 2.
My obvious choice would be switching to a pa5x but i have had enough with Korg's stability and sound, so need no more (if i can avoid it of course).
I believe Genos 2 has way better sound overall between these 3 arrangers, but since i never had a Yamaha arranger, I would need some help so i understand how it works, what are the advantages and/or disadvantages etc.
So, i have some questions as i couldn't find any detail video online anywhere,
i hope you guys could help me on this:
1) How many bars is allowed to write on a style 's intros or variations on Genos 2 ? (Korg is up to 32 but there is a trick for adding unlimited)
2) I know that is possible to write for example a second element on an intro for example, by using casm, but what are the limitations? (about tracks or channels)
On korgs , you can have for example a Major intro on intro 1,while you can have a completely different let's say Minor intro on a second element, with more or less bars etc. Only limitation is that both elements use the same sounds and mix.
On Variations 1-4 you can have up to 6 different elements, for example: one for a major chord, one for a minor, one for a no 3rd, one for a Major7, one for a 7th, or any other chord etc.
3) Genos doesn't have physically Fill buttons like pa4x has, but is there any combination pressing buttons, so you can chose which fill you want to use?
For example : if you use Variation 1 and you want to play fill3, is there any way you can do it (by double pressing or something) or you have to be on variation 3 in order to be able to play Fill 3?
4) while performing a style, how easy is to set the split point on the registration you use, and can it be stored within the style for the specific registration?
5) Can Setlist hold information for styles that are not loaded on instrument but recall them from USB drive or it works only for styles that are loaded?
6) How easy or not is to add GuitarRX notes on a GM midi file or track?
7) When you write for example a Piano track using damper, does Genos hold the sustain notes, or you have to adjust note length later? (i believe this is an old bug that hasn't been fixed ever)

Unfortunately where i live there isn't any Genos or Genos 2 owner or store where i could try it out,
i even traveled to Athens to try it, but they only had one piece, ordered not to unbox it, as the customer asked,
so it's not possible to play/hear it.
