Yamaha DX & TX Forum • DX7 MIDI Note 0 Plays Wrong Note

I wrote my own GUI to control my DX7, its mostly putting all the programming controls on one screen which makes it very easy to program a voice (patch). I also laid out a virtual 128 MIDI note keyboard on my GUI. I can click the keys and it sends out MIDI On and Off notes accordingly. I can also play notes on my DX7 and the notes on the GUI light up in real time. However when I send my DX7 MIDI Note 0 C-1 (of any velocity) it plays the E note above it. Transposing makes no difference. MIDI Notes 1 to 127 play the proper notes. Does anyone know why this is so? I am going to make my own Bass Pedal Board based on an Arduino UNO to generate MIDI commands, the code is complete, I haven't built it yet, but if I set my Pedal to put its lowest C as C-1, (MIDI 0) it will play the wrong note on the DX7. Ok, MIDI 0 is probably not used very much but it is a valid Note. I checked my code and I even watch the MIDI pulse stream on an O-Scope, and I am indeed sending the correct bytes for MIDI Note 0.
