So I was thinking that $600 for a Meris reverb is insane compared to all the reverb and other effects we get essentially for free on our synths.

Sadly the miniFreak is only mono input which nullifies my stereo Oberheim which does not have effects.

I wanted to use the Freak to process the Oberheim effects and return the Meris as it cost the same as the Freak which is an entire synth.

So as a fun test I was processing one mono instance through the Freak (the Oberheim offers left, right and mono outs) and into the YC73 while simultaneously processing the Oberheim L/R channels through double L/R analog Gamechanger spring reverb pedals then going into the Meris.

I could mix the individual volumes to taste and do all sorts of crazy stuff with both instances layered.

From what I read the YC can not apply effects to the incoming audio which is rather ridiculous. Is that correct?

I have the M8x which I'm sure can do anything but this current arrangement produced sounds that only the gods could grant access to.

I was riding the Freak analog filter (on my YC joystick) applied to only the second or mono instance of the Oberheim routed through the Freak over the other stereo instance and then you can do anything else you like to it modulating phaser with the second Freak oscillator.
