I've seen the shimmer demo using some available sounds however if you go into the shimmer effect section there are 4 different options.
Just wanted to point this out as some do dramatically different sounding things. I've not heard anyone mention this or show the differences.
My Game Changer light pedals do an analog shimmer of sorts called harmonic which is similar to the basic version on the M.
I recommend if you have an analog synth without effects onboard try the Light Pedal. I understand you can also route thru the M and add effects that way as well. My YC has external inputs and lots of effects but it won't allow effects to be applied to that signal I don't think & that's a big waste.
