Take a look at the Chordz 2 Chill 2 and you may notice it has 67 elements.
If you plan to examine those elements I suggest you pack a picnic lunch and maybe even a tent because you have a long journey ahead of you.
1. there is no way to tell if any element from 9-128 is On or Off without actually loading the page for that one element. Then select the next element from a dropdown menu and look at its page
2. there is no way to mute or solo any element from 9-128. Only elements 1-8 can be muted or soloed and only elements 1-8 appear on the sub display.
3. there is no way to 'solo' more than one element at a time. This would be valuable in creating sounds since you could ‘solo’ the sound itself no matter how many elements it had.
I want to see those issues addressed so I created the attached Excel of one way to update the existing Element Settings screen (which is mostly empty space) to provide functionality for those 3 things.
The mockup adds to the existing Element Settings screen and makes use of both display space and knob space that isn’t currently being used.
Because the functionality is new there should be few, if any, impacts to other screens or functionality.
I don't expect to hear back from Yamaha since idea submissions can fall into the NDA area.
