I had problems with the plugin and Cubase, and it wasn't really a problem for me because I was mainly hoping to use it as a librarian, as you've mentioned, and I don't think that's really its strength at the moment.
I know Derek writes librarians but his currently only supports the classic Montage, so you might have to wait a while for him to have a version for the M.
